PETITION to support the styrofoam resolutions before the Hawaii State Legislature:
We, the undersigned, support the resolutions (SCR142/SR74 & HCR192/HR161, SCR 146/SR78 & HCR193/HR162) currently before the Hawaii State Legislature, addressing the threats posed by styrofoam upon our environment and health, and encouraging the use of alternative products to styrofoam which are readily available and affordable.
These resolutions represent a step in the right direction by promoting a more sustainable and more environmentally conscious Hawaii. We encourage you, our elected Representatives, to support and adopt these resolutions.

Dear Lawmakers,
It is imperative that you take affirmative action in protecting the aina. Please pass this law. The people managed fine before styrofoam and will continue to do so if they are banned or greatly limited.

Right now in California large grocery chains will not carry bags any more for their customers, having them buy reusable ones. They have a lot more room to bury trash than we do. How about getting real about the situation here and passing some eco measures like this one!

Human have been on the planet for 15 minutes of a 24 hour clock but yet we have done more damage to the environment then any other species. This damage will take hundreds and into thousands of years to correct. If it isn't addressed we will ultimately become extinct.
